He was in his early 20s, a promising sprinter in his homeland. Whatever happened in Egypt remains a secret as nothing was left from him unfortunately. No notes, even his mobile was emptied from contacts and messages…
I have set up a paypal account (margusta1@gmail.com) to collect donations from his fans to support his family as only getting his body back to his homeland cost a bit more than £5000…
I would like to add a general request that people here, and elsewhere, respect the privacy of Andrea's family. They are already in enough pain, and unwanted intrusions on that giref, and inquiries as to the cause, would only serve to increase their pain.
While I know the answer to the question, outside of his few appearances on film, he was a private person, and his surviving family members are private people, who were wholly unconnected with that small portion of his life. The circumstances were very unfortunate, but they are a private matter, and to respect his memory, let those circumstances remain private, please.
